Battery High Altitude Low-Pressure Test Chamber is intended for the simulation of battery’s air transportation under high altitude (low-pressure) conditions. It is a piece of necessary battery testing equipment.

The test cell and battery shall be stored at a pressure of 11.6 kPa or less for at least 6 hours at ambient temperature (20±5℃).

The cell or battery test piece is qualified if there is no leakage, no venting, no disassembly, no rupture and no fire and If the open-circuit voltage of each test cell or battery after testing is not less than 90% of its voltage immediately prior to the test. The requirement relating to voltage is not applicable to test cells and batteries at fully discharged states.

Battery High Altitude Simulation Tester Features

  • The outside of the testing equipment is formed of superior cold-rolled steel plates and treated with advanced baking varnish with rustproof ability.
  • The inside layer is made of SUS 304 material. Fireproof, corrosion-resistant Teflon tapes are affixed to the interior surface to protect the chamber at maximum.
  • The ultrafine aluminum silicate cotton is filled in the space between the inner box and the outer box.
  • Double-layer tempered glass is used to fabricate the viewing window to observe the test states inside the testing machine and ensure the operator’s safety.
  • Heat-proof silicone sealing strips are adopted on the door for better sealing property, ensuring the vacuum level inside the chamber is constant.
  • Air input and output can be controlled automatically, maintaining air pressure constant automatically.
  • The test cycle can be controlled automatically. The air pressure change in the chamber is monitored throughout the test, and the auto termination of the test (6 hours) is available.
  • The equipment is equipped with a pre-overpressure device, which is protected by a pressure-reducing valve.
  • Fitted with a built-in vacuum pump.
  • It can alarm automatically once an operation error occurs or time is up.
  • Movable castors are available for convenient movement.
