ISTA Drop Tester belongs to a type of pneumatic drop test machine that is specially used to simulate the free fall of the complete and filled transport packaging carton from a certain height. It helps you predict the possible damage to the package and contents inside due to the drop impact during handling, loading, and unloading in the actual transportation process, allowing you to evaluate the impact resistance of cartons and the rationality of the packaging design.

AMADE TECH Pneumatic drop tester is characterized by a pneumatic release mechanism to drop the sample, which uses air pressure as the power source to act on the sample. Its release speed to the sample can be as high as three times the gravity acceleration, much faster than that of ordinary electronic drop test machines. The fast speed dramatically helps to reduce the interference to the test process and improves the accuracy of the test results. Generally, the test machine accepts packages smaller than 68 kg.
This ISTA drop test machine can perform a free fall test on the package’s surfaces, corners, and edges with the help of auxiliary apparatuses. It is equipped with a digital display for height presentation and adopts an encoder for height tracking to control the drop height accurately, and the error does not exceed the preset drop height of 2% or 10 mm. The error between the impact surface of the drop angle and the plane of the bottom plate is less than or equal to 1 degree.
