Shoe lace abrasion resistance tester

Shoe Lace to Lace & Lace to Eyelet Abrasion Tester China Manufacturer

Shoe Laces Abrasion Tester is a footwear testing equiment used to assess the abrasion resistance of shoe lace to lace and shoe lace to lace carrier under specified conditions.

AmadeTech testing machine can be configured with two sets of substitutable clamps to meet different test requirements so that it can conduct three types of tests: Method 1: Lace to lace abrasion / Method 2: Lace to standard eyelet abrasion / Method 3: lace to eyelet (from footwear) abrasion.

Test Principle

A shoe lace is threaded through a loop formed by a piece of similar lace held open by a spacer (method 1) or a lace carrier (Methods 2 & 3). The shoe lace is bent through a fixed acute angle at the point of contact with the loop. It is then held under a standard tension while it is repeatedly drawn back and forth through the loop until it fails.

Shoe Lace to Lace Abrasion Test

Take two shoelaces, hook each other in the middle part so that the two ends of each shoelace are located in the left and right directions, respectively.

Use the right clamp (moving clamp) of the machine to fix the two ends of the right shoelace, ensure that the two ends of the shoelace are 25mm apart, and then make the right shoelace hook the left shoelace at an angle of 52.2° with the help of a spacer, ensure that the hook point and the clamping point is 120mm apart.

Use the left clamp (fixed clamp) to clamp one end of the left shoelace and place the other end in the pulley groove. Attach a specified weight to this free end, and guarantee that the clamping point is 35 ± 5 mm away from the wheel groove.

During the test, the movable clamp reciprocates along the left and right straight lines at a constant speed to make the middle sections of the two shoelaces rub against each other. The abrasion resistance of the shoelace is determined according to whether the sample can survive the preset number of frictions or record the number of rubbing when the shoelace breaks.

Shoelace to Eyelets Abrasion Test

Thread a section of the shoelace through the eyelet clenched by the fiberboard connected to the metal strip. The shoelace and the eyelet are at a 90° angle, and the fiberboard and the shoelace are at a 45° angle. The movable clamp pulls the lace back and forth repeatedly through the eyelet under standard tension until the specified number of rubbing cycles are reached or record the number of frictions when the shoelace breaks.
