Lab Vacuum Compression Molding Machine

Lab Vacuum Rubber Vulcanizing Press for Sale

The Laboratory Vacuum Compression Molding Machine, also widely recognized as a Laboratory Vacuum Vulcanizing Press, is an indispensable piece of equipment for advanced materials research. This high-performance machine is meticulously engineered for molding polymer and rubber samples, enabling comprehensive investigation into critical material properties such as physical characteristics, precise color matching, and accurate light transmittance.

At its core, this state-of-the-art device integrates a robust vacuum system directly onto the foundation of a standard flat-plate vulcanizing machine. This innovative design addresses the inherent limitations of conventional hydraulic presses, particularly when processing materials that demand effective degassing. While standard presses can heat, soften, and form polymeric materials into sheets or specific shapes under pressure, their ability to remove trapped gases relies solely on mechanical compression, often with limited efficacy.

Our vacuum compression molding machine is equipped with a high-quality hydraulic system that powers the press plates, offering various capacities such, as 30-ton, 50-ton, and 100-ton options to meet diverse research needs. It supports a comprehensive range of precise pressure control modes, including pre-pressing, pressurization, pressure holding, and customizable multi-stage pressure application. The integrated PLC touchscreen provides an intuitive and user-friendly human-machine interface, featuring a full array of control buttons and commands. Users can input various parameters and issue control commands directly via the screen, such as activating the external vacuum pump for machine evacuation. The system also offers real-time display of operational parameters and pressure curves, ensuring precise process monitoring. Moreover, the machine incorporates both advanced heating and cooling capabilities. The standard configuration features press plates measuring 300 mm x 300 mm, arranged in a two-tier structure: the upper tier functions as the primary heating zone, while the lower tier serves as the cooling zone. For users requiring specialized configurations, we offer customization options, such as configuring both upper and lower tiers to simultaneously heat the material, ensuring optimal processing flexibility.

Lab Vacuum Compression Molding Machine Applications

Plastic Molding

The vacuum-enabled version of this hot press machine offers a significant advantage in plastic molding. It provides a sealed chamber that isolates the pressing zone from the external atmosphere, allowing for thorough evacuation of the processing chamber. This powerful vacuum effectively extracts gases from both the material and the mold, guaranteeing the production of high-quality, defect-free parts. This makes the device exceptionally well-suited for applications with stringent requirements for internal porosity and dimensional precision in polymeric products. For instance, when pressing reinforced composite components, such as those made with carbon fiber or glass fiber, it proficiently eliminates interlayer voids, thereby ensuring the optimal density and structural integrity of the final product.

Rubber Vulcanization

Furthermore, this equipment plays a crucial role in rubber vulcanization testing. In standard flat-plate vulcanizing presses, air frequently becomes entrapped within the rubber material or in the intricate crevices of the mold during the vulcanization process. Under conditions of elevated temperature and pressure, this trapped air can lead to internal bubbles, surface voids (incomplete filling), and undesirable flow lines in the finished product. The vacuum vulcanizing press comprehensively resolves these issues. During vulcanization, it first evacuates air from the mold cavity, allowing the rubber to flow freely and completely fill the cavity within a negative-pressure environment. Subsequently, it proceeds with the heating and pressurization stages. The result is a finished product free of internal bubbles, exhibiting superior fusion at weld lines, lacking surface oxidation layers, and demonstrating significantly enhanced overall appearance and performance.

Silicone Curing

Beyond polymers and rubber, this vacuum curing press is also ideal for the high-temperature curing of silicone materials, transforming them from a liquid state into high-performance elastomers. Given the high fluidity of silicone, conventional vulcanizing presses can easily trap air during compression molding, leading to defects like bubbles and voids, particularly in complex geometries. Our advanced vacuum-assisted molding machines fundamentally overcome this challenge, making them perfectly suited for silicone parts with intricate designs, deep cavities, thin walls, or demanding aesthetic requirements.
