
Compact Calender Machine for Rubber and Plastics
Lab calendering machine is a compact machine used in the laboratory to press and extend polymers such as plastic, rubber or silicone into sheets with a certain thickness and surface shape. It usually contains two or more rollers arranged in a specific way to process materials. The calender is suitable for natural and synthetic rubber, thermoplastics such as PVC, ABS, EVA, modified polystyrene, and high-temperature engineering plastics such as PEI, PPS, PEEK, PI, PTFE, PVDF, etc.
The rollers of our laboratory calender are made of high-hardness wear-resistant and corrosion-resistant alloy steel, and the surface is chrome-plated for hardening. We have rollers of different diameters for users to choose or customize. Each roller is independently driven by a servo motor, which runs stably and has low noise, allowing users to freely adjust and accurately control the roller speed as needed to adapt to different process requirements. You can independently adjust the gap between different rollers to meet the requirements of producing products of different thicknesses. The rollers have built-in heating devices and temperature detection devices to heat the rollers to the specified temperature and keep it constant to process the material.
According to the number of rollers, we can provide lab calender machines with two, three, four or even five rollers. Two rollers are the most basic configuration. Three-roller calenders are often used for sheet production, while four-roller calenders can produce thinner products. Generally speaking, the more rollers there are, the more times the material is calendered, so that thinner, more uniform and smoother products can be produced. According to the arrangement of rollers, we can provide L-shaped arrangement, horizontal arrangement and vertical arrangement. For the number and arrangement of rollers, we can flexibly configure for users according to your material type and processing technology needs.
The calender is equipped with an unwinding device, a traction and rewinding device to automatically unwind and collect finished sheets. The device is driven by an independent servo motor with good synchronization performance. The human-machine interaction unit of the machine is a color touch screen that supports PLC intelligent control. There are various buttons and parameter input boxes on the screen that allow you to easily enter instructions and control the operation of the machine. The real-time operation data of the machine will be displayed on the screen. In addition, our machines are also equipped with various safety devices such as emergency stop buttons, overload protection and mechanical limit.
