Eyewear Air Tightness Tester for Sale
Swimming Goggles Leakage Tester is used to determine the sealing performance between eyewear components to ensure that their air tightness meets the standards.
The machine features a cylindrical surface like a arch bridge at the top. It is made of soft material to fit the eyewear under test. The arch bridge is with a radius of curvature of 135 mm and span of 210 mm and width of 100 mm. Before testing, the joggles sample is laid flat transversely on the surface of the arch bridge and fitted to the curved surface. There are two vacuum pipe air holes with 5 mm in internal diameter located at the longitudinal center point on both sides of the arch bridge to vacuum the two eye locations of the sample during the test. The vacuuming behavior is powered by a vacuum pump. The two vacuum suction ports on the left and right are independently controlled by the non-return valves.
The control panel consists of two vacuum gauges for left and right eye locations, an electronic timer and control buttons. The gauges allow you to set a desired test pressure and display the real-time vacuum pressure during testing. If you set an intended test period of time before the test, the machine will automatically time once reaching the desired test pressure.
Test Standard
BS ISO 18527-3: 2020
Features
- Suitable for various swimming goggles.
- The soft-surfaced test jig is compliant with standard.
- Equipped with 2 pressure gauges.
- The vacuum pump stops automatically once the machine attains the target pressure.
- Fitted with a timer for users to facilitate recording pressure at specific time point.
- Easy for users to use and maintain.
Swimming Goggles Leakage Test Procedure
- Place the sample on the arc surface ensuring the two eyes covers the vacuum air holes protruded from the surface.
- Turn on the machine, and set a desired test pressure less than 40 kPa for the left and right gauges, then set a time for the timer, such as 10 second or 20 seconds.
- Hold the sample on the curved jig, then press the “Start” button to initiate the vacuum pump. And the pump will stop automatically once reaching the predetermined pressure, then the timer starts counting.
- The operator visually checks the pressure and time values, and records the corresponding pressure values after 10 seconds and 20 seconds, respectively. The pressure shall not rise by more than 0.3kPa after 10 seconds and 3.0 kPa after 20 seconds.
