Nickel Release Wear Simulation Tester

Spectacle Frame Abrasion Test Machine for Nickel Release

Nickel Release Wear Simulation Tester is used to subject the spectacle frames to wear from the wear medium for determining the abrasion resistance. It is an indispensable device used prior to the detection of nickel release from coated metal and combination spectacle frames.

Our nickel release abrasion tester consists of a tumbling barrel, retaining assembly and rotating system, control system, etc.

The tumbling barrel has a hexagonal cross-section of 19 cm in diameter. It is able to rotate around its axis under control. With the help of the rotating and control systems, you can preset the rotation direction, speed and duration before the test. A certain amount of wear medium composed of abrasive paste and wear granules mixed in the prescribed proportion shall be filled in the tumbling barrel for the test.

The retaining assembly features a threaded rod carrying three hexagonal metal plates. It allows the test pieces to be mounted and fixed so as to prevent test pieces from contacting with each other during tumbling or colliding with the barrel walls or other parts.

It is easy for you to operate this machine. A digital timer is available for precision timing in seconds or hours to meet different requirements. You can press one key to alter the running direction of the roller and turn the knob to adjust the rotation speed.
