Peel Adhesion Strength Tester China Manufacturer & Supplier

Peel Tester is a tensile testing machine compatible with various peel fixtures. It is featured with constant rate-of-extension and constant rate-of-load control. By matching different jigs and attachments, this peel force tester allows you to perform a wide variety of peel strength tests, including:

  • The bond strength test of adhesives, glues, cement adhesives
  • The interlayer peel strength test of laminated materials
  • The tape peel test
  • The peel-off test of lid films
  • The peel adhesion test of fabric coatings
  • The peel bond strength test of labels, medical stickers, protective films, and release paper
  • The peel test of electronic components, carrier tapes
  • The heat sealing strength test and peel force test of packaging films
  • The unwinding force test of pressure-sensitive adhesive tapes at low speed

In addition, it is also commonly used for determining the tensile strength, elongation, breaking force, shearing, tearing strength, etc., which has the same functions of the electromechanical universal testing machine.

Comparison of the Peel Tester Machine’s Two Control Modes

Modularization +Touch Screen

  • It displays the maximum value, minimum value, average value, force-displacement curve.

  • All operations are done on the touch screen, convenient for a quick test.

  • It has a built-in thermal printer that can print the test results quickly.

  • Only a few sets of test results can be stored.

Operation Interface

Windows-based Test software + PC

  • It allows you to complete all control operations using a computer before and in the test.

  • The real-time data and curves are presented via a monitor, which is more intuitive.

  • In addition to displaying the maximum value, minimum value, average value, force-displacement graphic, you can customize other desired test data.

  • Test results can be generated in Word or PDF. The document can be edited, which is convenient for analyzing, comparing, and saving data.

Learn More About the Peel Test

  • First, you must tell us your test item, sample shape, size, expected peel force, or what testing standard you will follow.
  • Then our sales consultant will help you choose the proper force value capacity and peel fixture of the test machine. You can also tell us what test data you will need, such as peel strength, force-displacement curve, maximum value, minimum value, average value. Our technical engineers will choose the fit controller for you according to your requirements.
  • We will recommend the best configuration based on your requirements and budget.

Two flexible sheets of materials are bonded as the sample. Two unbonded ends in the same direction are clamped in the upper and lower fixtures of the peel testing machine. While the upper fixture moves upwards at a constant speed, the materials are peeled off from each other. Because the shape of the sample during the peel test resembles the letter “T”, it is called the T-type peel test.

The peel strength test uses a tensile machine to separate the two materials stuck together. The maximum force loaded is measured during the test. Peel strength is the force required to peel off the contact surface per unit width.

Peel strength is different from the peel force. The test result of the peel strength generally uses the unit of N/cm, kgf/cm, gf/mm lbf/in, and the peel force is indicated in N, kgf, gf, lbf.

The 90° Peel Test is one of the most common peel tests. It is mainly used to determine the bond strength between the flexible adhesive material and rigid surface. The ordinary test object we often test on is the adhesive tape.

The adhesive material is stuck flat on the steel plate before the test ensuring there are no air bubbles. The steel plate assemble is placed horizontally and fastened in the low clamp area of the tensile machine. The free end of the sample is fixed in the upper clamp. The operator adjusts the position of the steel plate in the horizontal direction until the tensile direction of the sample is at 90 degrees to the steel plate.

The 180° peel test is a peel resistance test on the adhesive materials. The sample preparation method is the same as the 90° peel test. The free end of the sample is secured in the upper clamp. In order to keep the peel angle at 180 degrees during the test, the steel plate with the specimen must be clamped by a lower fixture in the vertical direction.

During the test, the sample on the steel plate was pulled back in the opposite direction (180 degrees) along the steel plate to peel it off from the steel plate.
